G'day Mate, I'm Scout from Down Under. I'm an Australian Labradoddle, almost a year and a half old. I can be a handful; I just don't know when to quit! I also plant sloppy kisses on my Gramaws and Grampaws on a regular basis. I like No Bonz because there are all kinds of dogs to play with. Plus, I like being King of the Hill on some of the outside toys. In my free time, I like to chew on bones and shoes, go for walks and snuggle with my family. I'm going to take hunting lessons this summer, so watch out.
April: Mickey
Mickey is thrilled and honored to be Dog of the Month for April at No Bonz. Born on a farm in Brownsville, OR, Mickey quickly adjusted to city life when he arrived in Portland at the tender age of 8 weeks.
Mickey is a gentle soul with a love for the finer things in life, including little dogs, long naps on a soft couch, and socks. He is always up for a snack or a pat on the head. Or both. Mickey loves his time at No Bonz and always comes home exhausted... just how we like him! After almost four years with this guy, we can't imagine life without him.
March: Sophie
Sophie “Potato” Jo Coleman Sophie is a 5 year old lab/pit/basset hound mix, according to the handy dandy DNA test recently performed on her. She’s incredibly sweet natured and is one of the best snugglers I’ve personally ever met. Sophie unexpectedly joined the Coleman pack in September (a mere 5 months ago!) when the family that she had grown up with relocated to a place that they couldn’t take her and were faced with the possibility of surrendering Sophie to a shelter. No way! So, Sophie inherited a pretty spoiled dog-brother and a very lazy, but very bossy cat-brother. Although Sophie and the cat both like to snuggle, Sophie seems a bit terrified when the cat tries to cuddle up with her. Maybe someday… But she has been a wonderful addition, and she fits in beautifully! Sophie is still learning how to walk on the leash without pulling, but she enjoys hikes, walks and car rides. And naps. She REALLY enjoys naps. She’s still learning the value of a summer backyard (kiddie) pool party – but she’ll figure it out soon enough! Sophie has been coming to No Bonz since her transition to the Coleman home, and with the love and support of the No Bonz staff, Sophie has blossomed socially with the other awesome dogs at school – and rumor has it that she even has a boyfriend!
February: Tasha
February Greetings! My name is Tasha, and I am lab mixture with a distinctive corkscrew tail. I celebrate my first birthday this month, and what a year it’s been! The first six months are a blur; I was rescued in California and transported to the Oregon Humane Society. It was love at first sight for my family, and they adopted me August 9. I am the first, and long wanted, four-legged member of the household. I live with Mom, Dad, sister Mira, and brother Rishi. I am smart, affectionate, and attentive (you never know when food bits will mistakenly fall your way). My mom works part-time and I spend those days happily at No Bonz. Occasionally I stay with dad when he’s working from home for I am blissfully a daddy’s girl.
