Rozzie - August 2020 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Rozzie, our August 2020 Dog of the Month!

Here’s a word from Rozzie!

Hi! My name is Rozzie, and I’m very excited to be Dog of the Month!

I’m pretty much excited about everything under the sun. (In fact, people always think I’m a puppy, even though I’m five years old.)

The day my family adopted me, they actually came to look at a different dog – can you believe it?? But they saw me, and we all knew right away that we belonged together.

So, you might say that my family was meant to adopt me, even though they didn’t mean to adopt me. (Exciting!)

I love to see my family happy, so I’m very generous with snuggles, smiles, kisses, and wags. Even when they hug me too much or give me icky baths, I’m very patient, because I know they love me.

And they’re good to me, too. We play plenty of fetch (omg fetch is awesome!) and take lots of walks (walks!) and sometimes go to play in the river (I love it). They give me a big carrot every night after dinner, which I crunch away at (seriously, they’re the best treat ever! You should try these things!)

I’ve been coming to No Bonz for a little over three years and I’m so excited (so excited!) every Tuesday and Thursday for my days here with my doggie and human friends.

Layla - July 2020 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations, to Layla Maxine, our July Dog of the Month!!

Laya’s owner answered an ad on Craigslist and brought home Layla when was 6-8 months old. She was pretty shy and was in need of a good flea bath, nail trim, and a vet visit. She was the prettiest girl (and her mom’s very first female dog)!  The vet estimated her age and they chose 11/11 as her birthday (make a wish!). Layla will be four this November. Her mom says she isn’t sure sure who saved who, but we wouldn’t be surprised if it was Layla that saved her mom :-D

Jack - June 2020 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Jack, our June 2020 Dog of the Month!

Jack is seven years old. He came to his owner through the Seattle beagle rescue. He spent his first years in Korea. His full background is still a little unclear, but what is known is that he was in a puppy mill for many years. Then he was rescued by the Korean beagle rescue. He was then in a shelter that was a lot like our daycare. And finally a foster home for a couple months until he came to Seattle in February.

Jack is his owner’s third beagle and first boy. All of his owner’s dogs have gone No Bonz! None of them have loved it as much as Jack does though. He has felt at home here from the moment he arrived. He has such a sweet temperament. He is learning to run and play and go for long walks. He still has anxieties that he is trying to overcome, even crossing the No Bonz parking lot is a little frightening! He is convinced there are monsters in the parking lot and monsters in his home parking garage! He is sweet and snuggly at home. His owner is so glad to be able to give him a safe and comfortable life, he brings her such joy!

We are thrilled to have sweet Jack with us at No Bonz!

Rosie - May 2020 - Dog of the Month

Congratulations to Rosie, our May 2020 Dog of the Month!

After Rosie’s owner lost her other pitbull of 16 years, she was going into a state of depression. Her daughter noticed and went online looking for another dog to love on her mom. She got ahold of a veteran in Seattle and drove up there to get Rosie who was only two months old at the time. All the managers at Rosie’s mom’s job were in on this big surprise! Her daughter bought Rosie to her mother’s job the same day she picked her up, went to a vacant room with all the hotel managers, and they called her to this room as if there was a complaint. Rosie’s mom opened the door and there was Rosie on the floor! What a life-changing surprise! Since then, Rosie has become a local “mascot” of the Hilton Hotel, as she has grown up there.

Just like any other pup, Rosie has been a challenge but her mom fell in love with her instantly and she saved her as she was on a downward fall from losing her other dog after having her so long. Rosie’s playfulness keeps her mom active and moving everyday. She’s a very timid and shy little dog but she’s coming out of her shell. However, she will let her mom know if she doesn’t like someone! :-D

We are all so happy and thrilled to have Rosie with us at daycare! She’s sweet, adorable, and full of pitty love!
