Meet Lazlo, our gentle graceful giant. We just love having him here at daycare. He has lots of friends. and has settled into the pack well.
Lazlo is a retired greyhound “racer”. But, they retired him before he ever was entered in a race. Greyhounds (usually) live with their mom and siblings for the first years of their life, then train to race for 6 months. Lazlo didn’t quite make the cut as a racer, so they retired him young and he came to our home when he was 18mo old. We adopted him through Oregon Greyhound Adoption about 6 years ago. His first few weeks at home were challenging. He’d never been inside of a house, used a full flight of stairs, seen a mirror, or (best of all) experienced the wonders of a couch. He now prefers to sleep his days away (up to 20 hours daily) on our couch or at the foot of our bed. He’s an oversized cuddle hound who loves any and all food.
